JOB DESCRIPTION:
Job Title: Credit/Audit Manager
Location: Main Office
Reports To: Chief Credit Officer/Audit Committee
Employment Status: Full Time
Shift: 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. (Mon. – Fri.) & occasional arrival at 7:30 a.m.

GENERAL SUMMARY:
The Credit/Audit Manager is responsible for managing the staff of the credit/audit department. Develops and analyzes credit/financial information pertaining to diversified types of business loans, maintains an ongoing periodic credit review process on existing business borrowers with outstanding loan balances exceeding defined aggregate debt as determined by loan policy and prepares detailed and summary analysis reports relating to financial condition of business borrowers for loan officers or committees. Responsible for formulating, planning and performing routine audits to insure that proper procedures are being followed.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES include, but are not limited to, the following:
Develops credit information for use by lending officers or committees in making credit decisions on new, renewal, and extension loans.
Prepares summary reports, presents facts and offers opinions concerning credit worthiness to loan officers or committees.
Reviews all pertinent financial and credit information including bank files and credit reporting services.
Prepares all spreadsheets and related financial information.
Assists loan officer in preparation of loan package for loan committee meetings.
Reviews credit files to ensure information is current and reports any difficulties to the loan officers.
Prepares comparative analysis report for use in determining loan classification ratings.
Performs audits in accordance with established policies and procedures.
Prepares for the president, board of directors, bank examiners, etc., reviews and reports of audits made. 
Manages the staff of the credit/audit department.
Assess internal controls to ensure adequate safety and soundness in all areas of the institution.
Tracks the resolution and examination of audit findings that require action to be taken.
 
 
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
·          Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or a related field and have at least two years of experience in an audit/analysis position. 
 
QUALIFICATIONS:
·          Basic math aptitude
·          Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Office Power Point, Excel and other computer and software applications
·          Knowledge of ten-key number pad
·          Ability to work under time constraints, use good judgment, and act in a tactful, professional, non-irritated manner while dealing with co-workers
·          Must have a professional appearance and manner
·          Effectively communicates using verbal, non-verbal, and written skills
·          Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
·          Ability to work alongside co-workers in a team environment
·          Solid analytical and problem-solving abilities
·          Strong written and oral communication skills
·          Ability to work well independently
·          Ability to operate all related computer software applications
·          Analytical ability and the ability to conduct thorough research, interpret and understand laws and regulations pertaining to financial institutions and to provide workable recommendations and solutions to problems.
·          Reliable attendance
